GUM has a research library for master and doctor degree students, with study rooms with wired and wireless internet access.

In 2018, the Presidential Library named after Boris Nikolayevich Yeltsin was established at the GUM, which has funds of 72 million scanned copies of more than 600 thousand e-sources.
